Code your way through this 24 hours hackathon where you focus your time, energy and enthusiasm into building a product or service which can help create change. Because, using good software feels good. But building one feels even better!

    Can I attend?

    IF (you are a college student) AND (passionate about Computer Science) AND (you are at least 18 years old)) RETURN "Yes!"

    What are the prizes?

    Coming soon! We have cash, merch, stickers, and much more! You won't leave disappointed! :)

    How does registration work?

    Regitrations! If you’re accepted, you’ll have two days to confirm your attendance.

    Does this cost money?

    No! The event is free to attend. We have free snacks, but full course meals (1 X breakfast + 2 X lunch + 1 X dinner) are available for 1 X 40 + 2 X 80 + 1 X 80 = Rs. 200. You can avail the meals individually. We know, everyone expects the food to be free, but we assure you, the hackathon is fun! P.S. It has been for the past 5 years!

    What will I eat?

    We've got free snacks! Coffee will be there too of! Of course, the college cafetaria will be open throughout the hacking period and you may also order from restaurants that are open all night in the campus area through Zomato. You can avail the full course meals individually, or submit 200 combined to the organizing team.

    How do I get there?

    The event venue is: Cluster Innovation Centre, Rugby Sevens Building, University Stadium, University of Delhi, G.C Narang Marg, Delhi, 110007. This is at a 5 minutes walking distance from Vishwavidyalaya Delhi Metro Station (Yellow Line). Approach towards gate number 2 of stadium. Please avoid bringing your own vehicles as the parking space (available at gate number 2c) is limited!

    What should I bring?

    Bring a valid student ID for admission, COVID-19 vaccination certificate, a valid proof of identity, and a laptop for hacking. Both soft and hard copies shall be accepted. Also bring either a soft or hard copy of the event pass mailed to you after confirming your participation. We'll be needing the QR code to check you in.

    How do teams work?

    Teams can have 3-5 people. You can select teammates when you register, or you can register individually without specified teammates. We’ll pair you up with people on the spot if you can't bring along a team. We’ll select candidates by teams, so rest assured you’ll be able to hack with your friends if that’s what you prefer!

    What about hardware hacks?

    You are allowed to bring your own hardware if you like. We'll provide with you an amazing internet connection and good comfortable working space to build your dream product.

    Rules

    Participants must code overnight to develop a product. The hackathon is open theme, and the work must be original. Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification. Any illegal activity (drinking, smoking etc. within campus) is prohibited and will be dealt with seriously. Participants are requested to abide by the CONVOKE 5.0 Code of Conduct.

    Evaluation

    Through continuous evaluation, mentorship and feedback mechanisms; we aim to ensure that thorough analysis is performed and teams are judged accordingly. We will also try to automate some of the judging processes such as code quality through Github bots and ensure smooth running of the hackathon via bots on other platforms as well. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
